Best Urgent Care Clinics in Northeast Polk County (2026)

This list is published by Elon Health Urgent Care, which ranks itself first. We applied the criteria below to every clinic, including our own; check each clinic's details directly before you go.

Northeast Polk County stretches from the Osceola line at ChampionsGate down through Davenport and Haines City to Lake Hamilton, Dundee and Lake Alfred, with Poinciana spilling across the county line to the east. This list compares the walk-in urgent care clinics that serve that whole area and tells you roughly how far each one is from the towns around it. Short answer: Elon Health Urgent Care on US-27 in Davenport ranks first on our criteria, but if you live in Lake Alfred, Dundee or Lake Hamilton, a Haines City clinic will usually be the closer drive.

How we built this list

We checked each clinic's own website on September 23, 2026 and scored every clinic, ours included, on the same five points:

• Open 7 days with walk-ins accepted. Every clinic ranked below says it takes walk-ins and opens every day, so this is a tie, not an advantage.
• On-site X-ray and lab listed. Also a tie: each urgent care here lists both on its own page.
• Straight-line distance from the towns in the area. Measured from each town center to each street address. Elon is closest for the ChampionsGate and Loughman end of the area and loses this point for Haines City, Lake Hamilton, Dundee, Lake Alfred and Poinciana.
• Range of services listed under one roof. We counted services beyond illness and injury care that each clinic lists: occupational medicine, DOT exams, drug screening, B12 injections with lab testing, IV therapy, EKG and similar.
• Evening and weekend hours as listed. Elon matches the others on weekday evenings but is not the latest option: one Winter Haven clinic lists 9pm closing every day, and BayCare lists a later weekend close than Elon.

Elon ranks first because it ties on the first two points and lists services we did not find on the other clinics' pages, such as B12 injections with lab testing, IV therapy, PT/INR checks and ear lavage. Where another clinic is stronger for your town, we say so in its entry.

Hours are as listed on each clinic's website in September 2026. Holiday hours differ. Call ahead to confirm hours and services for every clinic, including ours.

1. Elon Health Urgent Care

Elon sits at 43378 US Highway 27, Suite A, in the north part of Davenport, about 3 miles in a straight line from ChampionsGate and 5 miles from Loughman. It is open Mon-Fri 8am-8pm and Sat-Sun 9am-5pm. You can walk in without an appointment or book online. The clinic is led by Medical Director Dr. Leonardo Cisneros, FACEP, a board-certified emergency physician; you may be seen by a physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner.

The reason it ranks first is the range of services on one site. Along with illness and injury care, Elon lists digital X-ray, EKG, on-site blood draws, DOT exams, occupational medicine, drug screening, preoperative evaluations, PT/INR checks, ear lavage, IV therapy and B12 injections with lab testing to check for deficiency first. It accepts most major plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, Florida Blue, Sunshine Health and Polk HealthCare Plan (see the full insurance list), and self-pay is available; call for current rates.

Where it is weaker: from Haines City, Lake Hamilton, Dundee or Lake Alfred, Elon is 8 to 14 miles away, so the two Haines City clinics are nearer. Elon also closes at 5pm on weekends. It does not list vaccines or flu shots.

2. AdventHealth Centra Care Haines City

At 35716 US Highway 27 N, this is about a mile from central Haines City and roughly 5 to 7 miles from Lake Hamilton, Lake Alfred and Dundee. It lists hours of Mon-Fri 8am-8pm and Sat-Sun 8am-5pm, as listed on its website in September 2026. Its page lists on-site X-rays and lab tests including blood glucose, flu, mono, strep, pregnancy and urinalysis, plus school, sports and DOT physicals, stitches, occupational health and on-site prescription filling. It notes that wait times vary because patients with the greatest medical needs are seen first. AdventHealth also lists 24/7 virtual urgent care through its MyChart app.

3. BayCare Urgent Care (Haines City)

BayCare's clinic at 36245 US Highway 27 is a short way north of Centra Care on the same road. It lists Mon-Fri 8am-8pm and Sat-Sun 9am-6pm, as listed on its website in September 2026, which is the latest weekend close among the Haines City and Davenport clinics here. It sees adults and children starting at 6 months old and lists X-ray, lab testing as needed, COVID-19 testing, nebulizer treatment, walk-in drug testing, and flu shots and immunizations. If you need a vaccine as part of the visit, that is a point in its favor over Elon.

4. AdventHealth Centra Care Davenport

Located at 40219 Highway 27, Suite 101, near the AdventHealth Heart of Florida hospital, this clinic is about 3 miles south of Elon and about 3 miles from Davenport's town center. It lists the same Centra Care hours and services: X-ray, lab tests with some results listed as within 24 hours, physicals, drug testing, stitches and on-site prescription filling.

5. AdventHealth Centra Care Four Corners

At 49513 US Highway 27 in the 33897 part of Davenport, this is the pick for households at the top of the county near US-192. It is about 2 to 3 miles from the Four Corners intersection and nearly 14 miles from Haines City. Its page says walk-ins are accepted every day and lists X-ray, lab, stitches, DOT and sports physicals and occupational health.

6. AdventHealth Centra Care Poinciana

For Poinciana residents, this clinic at 3759 Pleasant Hill Road is the nearest urgent care on our list, about 3.5 miles from the Poinciana town center, versus roughly 10 miles to Elon. It lists X-ray, lab, school and sports physicals, workplace injury care and stitches. If you live in Poinciana, it is the more practical first stop for a routine visit.

7. Owl Now Urgent Care (Winter Haven)

Owl Now is outside Northeast Polk, but it is about 5 miles from Lake Alfred and it lists the latest hours we found in the area: open 7 days, 9am-9pm, holidays included, as listed on its website in September 2026. Its site lists X-rays, labs and EKG on-site, pediatric and adult urgent care, stitches, workers' comp injuries and DOT and sports physicals. For a Lake Alfred family at 8:30pm, it was the only clinic on our list with hours listed that late.

How far is each clinic from your town?

These are approximate straight-line distances from each town center to each clinic's street address. Driving distances are longer, and US-27 traffic around the I-4 interchange and through Haines City at rush hour can add real time.

• ChampionsGate: Elon about 3 miles; Centra Care Four Corners about 4; Centra Care Davenport about 5.5.
• Loughman: Elon about 5 miles; Centra Care Davenport about 6; Centra Care Four Corners about 7.5.
• Haines City: Centra Care and BayCare about 1 to 1.5 miles; Elon about 8.
• Lake Hamilton and Dundee: the Haines City clinics about 5 to 7 miles; Owl Now and BayCare Winter Haven about 6 to 7; Elon 12 to 14.
• Lake Alfred: Owl Now and BayCare Winter Haven under 5 miles; the Haines City clinics under 6; Elon about 10.
• Poinciana: Centra Care Poinciana about 3.5 miles; Elon and the Haines City clinics about 9 to 10.

If the closest clinic is not Elon, go to the closest one. For services that fewer clinics list, such as B12 with deficiency testing, IV therapy or PT/INR checks, the extra drive may be worth it; call first to confirm.

When to skip urgent care and go to the ER

Call 911 for chest pain or pressure, trouble breathing, stroke signs (the CDC's BE FAST: balance loss, eye changes, face drooping, arm weakness, speech trouble, time to call), severe bleeding that will not stop, a head injury with confusion or passing out, or a baby younger than 3 months with a temperature of 100.4F (38C) or higher. For stroke signs, the CDC advises calling an ambulance rather than driving.

Emergency rooms in the area include the AdventHealth Heart of Florida hospital at 40100 US Highway 27 in Davenport, HCA Florida Haines City Emergency at 36810 Highway 27 (a freestanding ER that is open 24 hours) and the AdventHealth Poinciana ER on Pleasant Hill Road. Before you go

Call ahead or check the clinic's website for same-day hours; they change on holidays. Bring a photo ID, your insurance card, a list of your medicines and allergies, and your pharmacy's name.
