About Our Medical Director
Dr Leonardo Cisneros FACEP is an experienced and esteemed emergency physician from central Florida. He has served as a board certified emergency physician for over 20 years, and his expertise has been highlighted in numerous leadership administrative roles within the AdventHealth family since 2000
Dr. Cisneros’ clinical background includes emergency medicine, urgent care, acute illness and injury evaluation, diagnostic testing, and healthcare operations. Throughout his career, he has worked in both frontline patient care and healthcare leadership roles, helping improve access to efficient, evidence-based medical services across Central Florida. His experience allows him to combine strong clinical decision-making with a practical understanding of how patients move through the healthcare system.
Before that, he was Chief Resident at the prestigious Albert Einstein Jacobi/Montefiore Emergency Medicine Residency Program. In addition, he has been recognized multiple times by Orlando Magazine as “Top Doctor” in Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Cisneros believes that quality healthcare starts with communication, trust, and respect. He is committed to helping patients understand their condition, treatment options, and next steps so they can make informed healthcare decisions. His approach emphasizes compassionate care, efficient service, and treating every patient as an individual rather than simply a diagnosis.
His dedication to improving healthcare experiences for all is evident in his dynamic involvement within Florida Emergency Physicians as well as organizations and board memberships to various business and philanthropic organizations. This highly talented medical director is also a married father of two children.
