This list is published by Elon Health Urgent Care, which ranks itself first. We applied the criteria below to every clinic, including our own; check each clinic's details directly before you go.
This list is for Davenport parents deciding where to take a child with a fever, earache, cough, rash or minor injury when the pediatrician's office is closed or booked. We rank Elon Health Urgent Care first because it sees children from infancy through adolescence on US-27 in Davenport, with X-ray and rapid tests in the building. Two pediatric-only urgent cares in Kissimmee, Nemours and PM Pediatric Care, treat only children and young people and list later weekend hours, and some families will prefer them.
How we built this list
We checked each clinic's own website on September 23, 2026. Our criteria:
- Sees young children, with the age minimum stated. Elon, the pediatric-only clinics and Centra Care list care from infancy or for all ages; some general urgent cares start at 6 months, 18 months or 2 years.
- Pediatric-only setting. Elon does not win this: Nemours and PM Pediatric Care treat only children and young people, and that may matter to you.
- On-site X-ray and lab, including rapid strep and flu tests. Every urgent care on this list states both; the retail clinic does not.
- Distance from Davenport's US-27 corridor. Elon and Centra Care Davenport are on US-27; the pediatric-only clinics are in Kissimmee.
- Evening and weekend hours. Elon does not win: PM Pediatric and Owl Now list later closing times every day, and Nemours and BayCare close later than Elon on weekends.
- School and sports forms in the same visit. Elon, Centra Care, BayCare, Nemours, PM Pediatric and Owl Now all list sports or school physicals.
The list
1. Elon Health Urgent Care
43378 US Highway 27 Suite A, Davenport, FL 33837. Phone 863-282-2082. Open Monday to Friday 8am-8pm and Saturday and Sunday 9am-5pm. Walk in, or book online through our site. Wait times vary.
Elon's pediatric care covers infancy through adolescence: colds, flu, ear infections, sore throats, fever, stomach illness, rashes, mild allergic reactions, minor cuts and sprains. Rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV and mono tests are read during the visit, and digital X-rays for a possible fracture are taken on-site. Your child may be seen by a physician, PA or nurse practitioner, in a clinic led by Medical Director Dr. Leonardo Cisneros, FACEP, a board-certified emergency physician. We also do sports exams and school physicals. Medicaid and Sunshine Health are among the plans on our insurance list; self-pay pricing is available, call for current rates.
Where another clinic may suit your family better: if you want a clinic that sees only children, or you need care after 5pm on a weekend.
2. Nemours Children's Health, Osceola (pediatric urgent care)
750 Centerview Blvd., Kissimmee, FL 34741. Phone (407) 850-3497. Hours as listed on its website in September 2026: every day 10am-8pm. This is a pediatric-only urgent care for newborns up to age 18. Walk in with no appointment, or reserve a time online. Its page lists lab services, EKG, sports EKGs and physicals, and X-ray (it asks you to call to check that X-ray is available), interpreter services for most languages and for people who are hearing impaired, and video visits on demand. It says it accepts most insurance plans and self-pay.
It is farther from Davenport than the US-27 clinics, but it stays open until 8pm on weekends, three hours later than Elon, and it treats only children. For a child with a complex medical history, that focus may be worth the drive.
3. PM Pediatric Care (Kissimmee)
1267 W Osceola Parkway, Kissimmee, FL 34741. Phone 407-569-0220. The hours in its page data read Saturday to Monday 8am-10pm and Tuesday to Friday 10am-10pm; confirm by phone. It sees patients from birth to 26 years old. Walk-ins are welcome, or you can book a check-in time online.
Its page lists on-site X-ray, lab tests (including COVID-19, flu and strep), splinting, stitches, oxygen and nebulizer treatments, EKG, concussion evaluation, foreign object removal and sports physicals, plus virtual visits. It lists the latest hours of any clinic on this list, which makes it a strong choice for an evening problem that cannot wait until morning.
4. AdventHealth Centra Care Davenport
40219 Highway 27, Suite 101, Davenport, FL 33837. Phone 863-588-4801. Hours as listed on its website in September 2026: Monday to Friday 8am-8pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am-5pm. AdventHealth's pediatric page says all its Centra Care sites can provide urgent care for all ages. This location lists on-site X-ray and lab tests (flu, strep, mono, COVID-19, urinalysis), school, sports and camp physicals and EKGs for high school athletes. It opens an hour before Elon on weekends.
5. BayCare Urgent Care (Haines City)
36245 U.S. Highway 27, Haines City, FL 33844. Phone (863) 866-9933. Hours as listed on its website in September 2026: Monday to Friday 8am-8pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am-6pm. It treats adults and children starting at 6 months old. It lists X-ray, lab testing as needed, nebulizer treatment, camp, school and sports physicals, and flu shots and immunizations.
6. Owl Now Urgent Care (Winter Haven)
550 Pope Ave NW, Suite 200, Winter Haven, FL 33881. Phone 863-299-2630. Hours as listed on its website in September 2026: every day 9am-9pm, holidays included. It offers pediatric and adult urgent care with X-rays, labs and EKG on-site, and lists no age minimum. Winter Haven is a long drive from Davenport, but the 9pm close every day may help families on the southwest side of the county.
7. MinuteClinic at CVS (Davenport)
7575 Osceola Polk Line Rd., Davenport, FL 33896. A retail clinic inside CVS near I-4. Its page says it sees children 18 months and older. Its page data lists weekday hours of 8:30am-7:30pm with a midday break. It does not state X-ray or lab, so it suits a simple earache or a vaccination more than an injury.

Stated age minimums at general urgent cares
Before you drive a baby or toddler anywhere, check that the clinic will see a child that young. What each clinic's website said in September 2026:
- Elon Health Urgent Care: infancy through adolescence.
- AdventHealth Centra Care: all ages, per its pediatric page.
- Owl Now Urgent Care: pediatric and adult care, no minimum age stated.
- BayCare Urgent Care: children 6 months and older.
- MinuteClinic: children 18 months and older.
- Watson Clinic Urgent Care and Lakeland Regional Health Urgent Care (Lakeland and Lake Wales): ages 2 and up.
When a child needs the ER or 911, not urgent care
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) says to call 911 right away if a child cannot breathe, has a seizure, loses consciousness, has a severe injury such as a broken bone or deep wound, is bleeding and you cannot stop it, has a serious burn, has a serious allergic reaction, or is choking on something you cannot get loose. If a child swallows something that could be poisonous, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.
- Babies under 3 months (12 weeks) with a temperature of 100.4F (38C) or higher: the AAP says to call your child's doctor right away. If you cannot reach the doctor, go to an emergency room, not an urgent care.
- Fever with other warning signs: stiff neck, severe headache, trouble breathing, an unexplained rash, repeated vomiting or diarrhea, or a child who looks very ill or is unusually drowsy.
- Severe dehydration signs listed by the AAP: very fussy or excessively sleepy, sunken eyes, cool and discolored hands and feet, wrinkled skin, or urinating only once or twice a day.
- A seizure, with or without a fever: the AAP lists any seizure as a reason to call 911.
- Signs of heatstroke, such as after time in a hot car: call 911 or go to the emergency department.
ERs near Davenport that we verified: the AdventHealth Heart of Florida hospital emergency department at 40100 US Highway 27; HCA Florida Haines City Emergency at 36810 Hwy 27, which lists a dedicated pediatric treatment room; HCA Florida ChampionsGate Emergency at 8460 Champions Gate Blvd; and Orlando Health Emergency Room Reunion Village at 8011 Osceola Polk Line Road, which lists 24/7 adult and pediatric emergency care. The HCA and Orlando Health sites are freestanding ERs and bill as emergency departments.
