Best Places for Quick Blood Tests in Davenport (2026)

This list is published by Elon Health Urgent Care, which ranks itself first. We applied the criteria below to every clinic, including our own; check each clinic's details directly before you go.

This list is for Davenport residents who need blood work done soon: a CBC or metabolic panel your doctor asked for, a cholesterol check, or labs to go with a sick visit. You have three kinds of places to choose from: urgent cares that see you and draw blood in the same visit, Quest and Labcorp patient service centers that collect samples, and a direct-to-consumer lab store. Elon Health Urgent Care ranks first on our criteria because a provider orders, draws and reviews in one place, seven days a week, but it is not the fastest option for every test and it does not open as early as Quest.

How we built this list

We read each location's own web page on September 23, 2026 and applied the same criteria to every place, including Elon:

• A provider can order the test and review results. Elon and the two urgent cares see you as a patient. Quest, Labcorp and Any Lab Test Now collect samples; the ordering clinician (or you, for self-ordered tests) handles the results.
• Open 7 days. Elon and the urgent cares list weekend hours. Quest and Any Lab Test Now list Sunday as closed; we could not confirm Labcorp's hours.
• Early-morning draws for fasting tests. Quest Davenport lists weekday hours from 5:30am, well before Elon opens at 8am. Quest wins this point.
• Turnaround as each place states it. Elon states many routine blood results in 24-48 hours (1-2 business days). Centra Care Davenport lists results for some tests within 24 hours. We report what each says and do not rank on speed alone.
• Distance from central Davenport on US-27. Quest, Centra Care Davenport and Labcorp's Park Place Blvd site sit about 3 miles south of Elon, close together near the hospital.

"Not stated" means we did not find it on the location's page. Hours are as listed on each website in September 2026. Call ahead to confirm hours, whether you need an appointment, and what your insurance covers, for every place including Elon.

1. Elon Health Urgent Care

Elon draws blood on-site at 43378 US Highway 27, Suite A, and runs rapid tests (strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, mono) during the visit. Blood tests it lists include CBC, metabolic panels, glucose, cholesterol, HIV and STD tests, plus urinalysis. The clinic states that many routine blood results come back in 24-48 hours (1-2 business days) and that specialized tests can take up to about a week. A provider reviews the results with you. The advantage is that the visit, the draw and the follow-up happen in one place, with on-site X-ray and EKG if the provider needs them. Hours are Mon-Fri 8am-8pm and Sat-Sun 9am-5pm, walk-in or booked online. Care is led by Dr. Leonardo Cisneros, FACEP, a board-certified emergency physician. Elon accepts most major plans, including Medicare, Medicaid and Tricare (see accepted insurance); self-pay is available, and you can call for current rates.

The limits: Elon does not open before 8am, so a 12-hour fast runs longer than at Quest, and its stated turnaround is not the shortest on this list.

2. AdventHealth Centra Care Davenport

This urgent care at 40219 Highway 27 lists on-site lab tests including blood glucose, flu, mono, strep, pregnancy and urinalysis, and it states results within 24 hours for other tests. That stated turnaround is shorter than Elon's 24-48 hours for routine blood work. Hours listed are Mon-Fri 8am-8pm and Sat-Sun 8am-5pm.

3. BayCare Urgent Care (Haines City)

BayCare lists "Laboratory Testing (as needed)" at its US-27 Haines City clinic, open Mon-Fri 8am-8pm and Sat-Sun 9am-6pm as listed. Its page does not list specific blood tests or a turnaround time, so ask when you call.

4. Quest Diagnostics (Davenport)

Quest's patient service center at 40230 Highway 27, Suite 200, is next to the hospital area on US-27. Its page lists weekday hours from 5:30am to 3:30pm and Saturday from 6am, with Sunday closed; we saw conflicting Saturday times, so confirm before a weekend trip. Walk-ins are accepted, but the page says appointments take priority over walk-ins. It collects samples for doctor-ordered lab work, employer screening and tests bought through questhealth.com. There is no provider visit and no treatment there, so results go to whoever ordered the test.

5. Labcorp (North Blvd W and Park Place Blvd)

Labcorp lists two Davenport patient service centers: 2209 North Blvd W, Suite B, and 108 Park Place Blvd. Both pages say walk-ins are welcome and offer online appointments. Both list routine lab work, pediatric collection, H. pylori breath tests and employee wellness; the North Blvd site also lists hair collection and saliva alcohol testing. We could not confirm either site's hours from its page, so call before you go.

6. Any Lab Test Now (Kissimmee)

This lab store at 1325 East Vine Street in Kissimmee sells tests directly to consumers, so you can order your own blood work. It lists Mon-Fri 9am-5pm and Sat 9am-1pm, closed Sunday, and notes that special draws run weekdays 9am-2pm. It is about 16 miles from Elon. Because no clinician sees you, plan to take your results to your own doctor.

Fasting and other prep

MedlinePlus, from the National Library of Medicine, says that if your provider tells you to fast, you should not eat or drink anything except plain water, usually for 8 to 12 hours. It also says not to chew gum, smoke or exercise during the fast. Common tests that usually need fasting include blood glucose, cholesterol (lipid panel) and a basic metabolic panel. Plain water is fine and can make the draw easier.

• Ask whoever orders the test whether you need to fast and for how long.
• Keep taking your medicines unless your provider tells you otherwise, and tell the lab or provider about all medicines, vitamins and supplements.
• If you did not follow the instructions exactly, say so at the draw; MedlinePlus notes even small changes can affect results.
• In Florida heat, sip plain water the morning of the draw and pack a snack for afterward.

For a fasting draw first thing in the morning, Quest's earlier opening time is the practical choice. For a draw that goes with a sick visit, an urgent care saves a second trip.

When blood work can wait and when it cannot

A lab visit is for routine or follow-up testing. Call 911 or go to the ER for chest pain, trouble breathing, stroke signs, fainting, severe bleeding, a head injury with confusion, or a baby under 3 months with a temperature of 100.4F (38C) or higher. The AdventHealth Heart of Florida hospital at 40100 US Highway 27 is next to the Quest site; HCA Florida ChampionsGate Emergency, a freestanding ER open 24 hours, is north of I-4. Freestanding ERs bill as ERs.

Call ahead, bring a photo ID, your insurance card and any paper or electronic order, and list your medicines.
